I can never say enough about Hilton Head Island. It’s truly a paradise where anyone would enjoy living. There’s a property at Courtside Villas Hilton Head that I was recently showing some family members. My family is hoping to buy now and retire later. This is something many babyboomers are increasingly realizing is a smart thing to do. It’s a good idea, too, since prices are low, low, low now and interest rates haven’t been this low in over 60 years!

So, they wanted a maintenance free property since where they’ve been living has had them being a slave to their property. They really like that there’s no snow to deal with here and that the property at Courtside Villas Hilton Head is big enough for the two of them without having any upkeep on the exterior of the place.

The place I showed them at Courtside Villas Hilton Head is a beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom/2 bath first floor flat that has granite countertops in kitchen and both baths. The property comes beautifully furnished. Located in South Forest Beach, this villa has an excellent location and is a short walk to the beach, Coligny Plaza, restaurants, shops, grocery store, and Van de Meer Tennis.

Since they both golf I told them this would be an ideal setting for them as there are quite a few championship golf courses nearby. I could just see their faces light up when I mentioned that. So, I guess this is a done deal. Good thing there are plenty more available for other people!!

Living the Island Life

The island of Hilton Head lies 90 miles south of Charleston, SC, and 20 miles north of Savannah, GA, where there are Forest Beach Villas for Sale in a gated community. Cape May Realtors

Did you know Cape May, NJ, was ranked among the top 10 places to retire to in the U.S.? You might also be surprised to learn it’s one of the most historic beach communities in the country, too. My parents were looking around for retirement communities and spoke to some Cape May Realtors about the area, learning a lot in the process. In the meantime, I did a little research of my own.

New York City, Philadelphia, and the Baltimore/Washington area are all just a 2-hour drive away from Cape May. That’s a huge benefit for people working in the city but not wanting to live there full time.

Property taxes in the area are relatively reasonable compared to other shore towns or even compared to surrounding towns in New Jersey.

There’s certainly plenty of activities and entertainment to keep you busy if you live there year round. The white sand beaches offering views of beautiful sunrises and sunsets will capture you each and every day.

This quaint little town has been dubbed the Culinary Capital of New Jersey because it has wonderful assortment of both fine dining establishments and casual eateries. The boardwalk there is used for walking, biking, and enjoying arcade games and boardwalk foods.

So I told my parents I thought Cape May was a sweet place to retire to and the Cape May Realtors at Homestead Cape May seemed knowledgeable and personable, too.
